Scope
QC/T 743-2006 is the English-translated version of 电动汽车用锂离子蓄电池.
QC/T 743-2006 is the Chinese automotive industry standard for lithium-ion traction batteries in electric vehicles, with cells of nominal 3.6 V and modules of n x 3.6 V. Batteries are classed as square or cylindrical, and high energy density and high power density types are distinguished.
For cells and modules it sets appearance, polarity, dimension and mass, discharge capacity at 20 °C and -20 °C, charge retention, a cycle life of at least 500 cycles, vibration resistance and safety, with explosion and fire defined as failures.
Test methods give the charging regime, environmental conditions and instrument accuracy, while annexes cover consistency analysis and a simple simulated working-condition test.
Inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage complete it. Issued on 7 March 2006, it has applied since 1 August 2006.
