Scope
QC/T 14-2009 is the English-translated version of 汽车用轮胎气压表.
QC/T 14-2009 is the recommended Chinese automotive industry standard for tyre air-pressure gauges used on road vehicles. It sets out how these gauges, referred to throughout simply as pressure gauges, are classified, the requirements they must meet and the test methods used to check them.
Inspection rules are covered as well, together with marking, packaging, storage and safekeeping. The standard is filed under Chinese classification T35 and international classification 43.040.10, and it quotes QC/T 625 and QC/T 727-2007.
It takes the place of the earlier edition QC/T 14-1992. Issued on 17 November 2009, it has applied since 1 April 2010.
