Scope

QC/T 1037-2016 is the English-translated version of 道路车辆用高压电缆.

QC/T 1037-2016 is the Chinese automotive industry standard for high-voltage cables fitted to road vehicles.

It covers requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging and marking, and applies to cables rated AC 1000 V/DC 1500 V and AC 600 V/DC 900 V. Conductors are stranded from bare or tinned soft round copper wire, braided shields must reach at least 85 percent weaving density, finished ellipticity must stay within 8 percent, and insulation and sheath shrinkage must not exceed 2 mm and 4 mm per end.

Spark testing uses 8 kV or 10 kV according to the rating, and ageing runs for 240 h and 3000 h. Cable manufacturers and laboratories work to it, with annexes for structural dimensions and cable models. It was issued on 5 April 2016 and has applied since 1 September 2016.
