QB/T 2725-2026 is a test method standard for the determination of odour in leather. It deals with how the odour of leather is determined, giving laboratories and users of leather a common way to assess this property of a material. It is not a product specification and does not set requirements for any particular kind of leather. The document is meant to give buyers and sellers one shared reference, so that a supply agreement or a quality check can point to a single published text instead of to each party's own practice.

Leather producers, footwear, bag and garment manufacturers, testing laboratories, traders and buyers can use it when examining leather and comparing results. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T), approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 13 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It replaces QB/T 2725-2005.
