Scope

NB/T 51003-2012 is the English-translated version of 采煤工作面瓦斯综合治理设计规范.

The design specification NB/T 51003-2012 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard for the comprehensive control of gas at a coal mining face. It gives the terminology and definitions, the basic requirements and the content that such a design has to include.

Its application is to the design of gas control for underground coal mining faces, so it concerns the working face itself rather than the mine as a whole. It carries the Chinese classification D09 and the international classification 73.010 for mining and quarrying.

It quotes AQ 1018-2006, AQ 1026, AQ 1027-2006, AQ 1029 and AQ 6201, alongside the national provisions on the prevention of coal and gas outbursts and the coal mine safety regulations. Issued on 9 November 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
