1 Foreword

NB/T 42120-2017 was issued by National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China on 2 August 2017 and has been in force since 1 December 2017.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese energy industry specification for calibrating low frequency vibration sensors. It sets the performance requirements placed on the calibration, the control of the apparatus used, the calibration methods, the handling of the results and the interval between successive calibrations. The specification covers sensors working from 0.5 Hz to 100 Hz that monitor equipment such as hydroelectric generating sets, wind farm turbines and pumping station pump sets, with stator core vibration left out. It quotes GB/T 2298-2010, GB/T 20485.1-2008, JJG 134-2003 and JJF 1059.1-2012.
