Service lifts inside wind turbine towers are the subject of NB/T 31146-2018, a recommended energy industry standard of China. It applies to the climbing hoist installed in a wind power tower so that technicians can reach the nacelle to maintain the unit.

The standard treats that hoist as a piece of lifting equipment in a specific structural setting, which is why it cites GB 7588, GB/T 6067.1, GB 5226.1, GB/T 5972 and GB/T 5974.1.
