NB/T 25053-2016 is the English-translated version of 核电厂发电机出口断路器技术条件.

NB/T 25053-2016 is the recommended energy industry standard for generator circuit-breakers in nuclear power plants, and it is a modified adoption of IEEE Std C37.013-1997.

It covers the ratings and the design capability of the breaker placed at the output of the generator, its design and its construction, the type tests and the factory tests, the guidance for selecting one, and the tests made on site after handover.

The breakers it addresses are those installed between the generator and the step-up transformer, rated at 12 kV to 36 kV with a rated frequency of 50 Hz.
