Scope
NB/T 20255-2013 is the English-translated version of 核电厂安全重要仪表管线设计准则.
NB/T 20255-2013 is a recommended energy industry standard giving the design criteria for instrument lines that are important to safety in nuclear power plants.
It addresses the small bore piping and tubing that links process systems to the instrumentation serving them, a subject reflected in its Chinese classification F81 and its international classification 27.120.99.
Issued by the National Energy Administration, it replaces the earlier nuclear industry standard EJ/T 460-1989. Its design rules are read alongside EJ/T 642, the Chinese nuclear safety regulation HAF 003, the piping code ASME B31.1-2007 and two sections of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Issued on 8 June 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2013.
