NB/T 20247-2013 is the English-translated version of 核电厂实物保护系统设计总体要求.

NB/T 20247-2013 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard that sets out the general design requirements for the physical protection system of a nuclear power plant.

Physical protection is the set of arrangements by which a plant and the material it holds are guarded against intrusion and other unauthorized acts, and the standard states what the design of such a system has to provide for.

It is classified under F65 in the Chinese system and under 27.120.20 internationally. It quotes GB/T 22239-2008, GB/T 22240-2008, GB 50198-2011 and the guide HAD 501/02, and it was issued by the National Energy Administration. Issued on 8 June 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2013.
