NB/T 20241-2013 is the Chinese energy industry standard setting the requirements for in-service inspection of the heat transfer tubes of pressurized water reactor steam generators.
It concerns the examination of those tubes once the plant has entered service, and its classification, H26 in the Chinese scheme and 19.100 with 77.040.20 internationally, places it with non-destructive testing of metal components.
The standard is recommended in status and was issued by the National Energy Administration, taking the place of the nuclear industry standard EJ/T 884-1994. It cites the nuclear safety regulations HAF 601 and HAF 602 and GB 18871-2002. Issued on 8 June 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2013.
