NB/T 20184-2012 is the general specification of the Chinese energy industry for the vessels in which fresh fuel assemblies for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants are transported.

It sets the technical requirements for such a vessel together with the test methods, the inspection rules and the requirements covering transport itself, and it takes in assemblies carried with or without their related components.

Its field is the design, manufacture, testing and transport of containers for the new fuel assemblies of pressurized water reactor plants, VVER designs excepted.

The specification replaces the nuclear industry standard EJ/T 608-1991 and quotes material and examination documents such as GB/T 699, GB/T 1220, GB/T 4237, GB/T 5117, GB 11806, GB/T 14975, EJ/T 1027.5, JB/T 4730.5 and NB/T 47014. Issued on 19 October 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
