NB/T 20174-2012 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard for the onsite manufacture and acceptance of the carbon steel and stainless steel tanks of the nuclear island of a pressurized water reactor plant.
It covers the materials and the bought-in parts and components used, their transport, receipt and storage, the machining and installation work, surface treatment, the overall testing of the finished tank and the completion acceptance.
Its field of application is the manufacture and acceptance of such carbon steel and stainless steel tanks for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. It quotes GB/T 5210, GB/T 16702-1996, GB/T 17569, NB/T 20001-2013, NB/T 20002.5, NB/T 20002.6, NB/T 20003.7 and NB/T 47003.1-2009, and with the HAF 602 and HAF 603 regulations. Issued on 19 October 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
