NB/T 20400-2017 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard dealing with the fabrication of the stainless steel elements of the reactor cavity pool and the spent fuel pool of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.

It gives the technical requirements for making those pool components, and it is addressed to the manufacturing shops and the site workshops that produce and finish them.

The standard carries the Chinese classification F65 and the recommended status of the NB/T series, and it was published by the National Energy Administration. It quotes GB/T 191, GB/T 985.1, GB/T 1184, GB/T 1804, GB/T 3098.6, GB/T 4842, GB 6388, NB/T 20001-2013 and the NB/T 20002 and NB/T 20003 series. Issued on 10 February 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2017.
