Scope

NB/T 10731-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤矿井下防水密闭墙设计施工及验收规范.

NB/T 10731-2021 governs the design, construction and acceptance of waterproof dams, the sealing walls built in underground coal mine roadways to hold back water or permanently close off mined areas.

After general provisions it covers design principles, content and requirements, the construction process, and quality acceptance with project records. Informative appendices describe the structure, sizing and building of conventional waterproof dams, of composite-structure permanent sealing walls and of pre-separation walls.

Concepts defined include undercut slotting, which keys the dam into the surrounding rock to raise its resistance to water pressure. It applies to water-blocking walls for mining and development faces and to permanent closures when a face is sealed. Issued on 16 November 2021, it has applied since 16 February 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the general regulations, design, construction, quality acceptance and other technical requirements for the underground waterproof sealing wall of coal mines.

This document is applicable to the waterproof sealing wall of underground tunnels in coal mines for water blocking construction of mining and excavation working faces, and can also be used for construction when the mining face is closed. of permanently closed containment walls.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Waterproof dam

In the case of mining and excavation working face mining, harvesting, etc., masonry at the appropriate position of the roadway (outside the harvesting line) is used for water blocking or permanent sealing. waterproof facilities.

3.2 Undercut slotting
