Scope
NB/T 10525-2021 is the English-translated version of 油页岩干馏炉型号及编制方法.
NB/T 10525-2021 is the Chinese energy industry standard that fixes how oil shale retorting furnaces are classified, sized in parameter series and given model designations.
It distinguishes gasified retorts, gas combustion retorts and full cycle retorts according to what happens in the lower part of the furnace, and an annex adds general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport, storage and quality assurance.
It covers retorts that process oil shale at atmospheric pressure in a moving bed. Designers, manufacturers and buyers of these furnaces use the model code to identify furnace type and size consistently. Issued on 7 January 2021, it has applied since 1 April 2021.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the type classification, parameter series and model markings of oil shale retort furnaces. The general technical requirements and tests are given in the appendix.
Methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality assurance, etc.
This standard applies to retort furnaces for oil shale whose material is oil shale, the system is operated at atmospheric pressure, and the bed is a moving bed, hereinafter referred to as dry Distillation furnace.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Gasified retort
A dry distillation furnace where gasification (oxidation-reduction) reaction occurs in the lower part of the furnace body and dry distillation reaction occurs in the upper part of the furnace body. This furnace type is divided into three sections, the upper part is In the dry distillation section, the middle part is the mixing chamber, and the lower part is the gasification section. Saturated air is blown into the bottom of the gasification section, and the gasification reaction with the oil shale semi-coke generates heat.
The generated gas enters the mixing chamber, mixes with the high-temperature hot gas from the outside, and evenly enters the retort section to provide heat for the retort of the oil shale.
The dry distillation product is led out from the furnace outlet.
3.2 Gas-fired retort furnace
A dry distillation furnace in which a combustion reaction occurs in the lower part of the furnace body and a dry distillation reaction occurs in the upper part of the furnace body. This type of furnace is divided into three sections, the upper section is the dry distillation section, and the middle section The first part is the gas combustion section, and the lower part is the gas combustion chamber. The gas combustion chamber is at the bottom of the gas combustion section, and air and gas are mixed and burned in the gas combustion chamber to obtain high-temperature flue gas.
As a heat carrier, it is evenly sent to the dry distillation section to provide heat for the dry distillation of oil shale, and the dry distillation products are exported from the furnace outlet.
3.3 Full cycle retort furnace
There is no chemical reaction in the lower part of the furnace body, only a physical heat exchange process, and a dry distillation furnace in the upper part of the furnace body. This type of furnace is divided into three Section, the upper part is the dry distillation section, the middle part is the mixing chamber, and the lower part is the heat exchange section. The bottom of the furnace body enters the cold gas, and it enters the mixing after reverse heat exchange with the shale semi-coke.
