NB/T 10039-2017 is the English-translated version of 煤层气开发前期评价技术规范.

Pre-development evaluation of coalbed methane is the subject of NB/T 10039-2017, a recommended standard of the Chinese energy industry. It defines the tasks such an evaluation has to perform, its contents, the methods used and the technical requirements attached to them.

The standard is applied to the preliminary evaluation carried out before coalbed methane development begins, and the results it produces supply the basic data used when the development plan is prepared.

GB/T 24504, NB/T 10009 and SY/T 6177 are quoted in it. Issued on 15 November 2017, it has applied since 1 March 2018.
