LY/T 3004 "Walnut" is divided into the following 8 parts.

--- Part 1. Terminology of walnuts;

1 Scope

This part of LY/T 3004 stipulates the breeding route, clonal determination, regional test and improved seed index of walnut varieties.

This section applies to the selection of walnut varieties.

3 Introduction

3.1 Quarantine

For the introduction of grafted seedlings or scions, especially from abroad, strict quarantine is required, in accordance with the Phytosanitary Regulations (Forestry Regulations) Part) "Execution.

4 Breeding routes

4.1 Seed selection

4.1.1 Primary selection

According to the improved seed index (Table 1 to Table 4), the nut quality, high yield, disease resistance and other traits of the individual plants were observed continuously for 3 years.

Compared with standard elites, more than one trait has a significant advantage and is identified as an excellent individual.

4.1.2 Check

For the first selected elite plants, the clones were tested according to Chapter 5. According to the test results, the consistency and stability are selected to meet the breeding objectives.
