JC/T 2923-2026 is the English-translated version of 建筑卫生陶瓷行业节能监察技术规范.

JC/T 2923-2026 specifies the terms and definitions, the technical requirements for energy saving supervision and the implementation of supervision in the architectural and sanitary ceramics industry. It applies to energy saving supervision in that industry and to self-inspection carried out by the enterprises themselves.

The document is used by energy saving supervision bodies and inspectors, by architectural and sanitary ceramics manufacturers that prepare their own self-checks, and by consultants and auditors who assess energy use in ceramics plants. Its code carries the letter T, so it is a voluntary (recommended) standard and not a mandatory one. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 18 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It does not replace an earlier edition. The English translation of the full text helps foreign ceramics producers, equipment suppliers and project partners understand how energy saving supervision is organised in China.
