JB/T 9924-2014 is the English-translated version of 磨削表面波纹度.

JB/T 9924-2014 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard dealing with the waviness of ground surfaces. It sets out the principles on which grinding surface waviness is assessed and the methods used to evaluate it.

Its provisions cover surfaces produced by cylindrical grinding, by the grinding of conical surfaces and by the machining of flat surfaces in a circular manner. The evaluation draws on GB/T 3505, GB/T 6062 and GB/T 16747.

The standard replaces the 1999 edition, JB/T 9924-1999. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
