JB/T 9762-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9762-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the aluminium pistons of internal combustion engines that carry an inlaid wear-resistant ring, known as ring carrier pistons. It fixes the names of the several parts of the piston, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the ring carrier pistons of reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter of 200 mm or less. The document carries Chinese classification J92 and international classification 27.020. It cites GB/T 1148, JB/T 6289, JB/T 8892, JB/T 10407 and GJB 1580A, and supersedes JB/T 9762-1999.
