JB/T 9099-2014 was issued by MIIT on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9099-2002, JB/T 9099-1999.

2 Scope

Axial flow fans for cooling towers are the subject of JB/T 9099-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. It fixes the technical requirements for these fans, the test methods used on them, the inspection rules, and the rules for marking, packaging and quality assurance. The fans it addresses move air at medium temperatures below 75 °C. Its provisions rest on other machinery and gearing standards, including GB/T 1236, GB/T 2888, GB/T 9438, GB/T 10095.1-2008, GB/T 10095.2-2008, GB/T 10178, GB/T 13306, JB/T 6444, JB/T 8689, JB/T 8690, JB/T 9050.1 and JB/T 9101.
