JB/T 8950.2-2013 is the English-translated version of 普通晶闸管第2部分：平板形器件.

JB/T 8950.2-2013 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for phase control thyristors built in disc form. It deals with flat-shaped reverse-blocking triode thyristors of symmetrical blocking characteristic whose case-rated on-state average current runs from 200 A to 5000 A. For these devices it sets the type designations and dimensions, the ratings and the characteristics, and the inspection rules. Chinese classification K46 and international classification 31.080.20 are recorded for it. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 4937-1995, GB/T 15291, JB/T 2423, JB/T 4277 and JB/T 7626-2013. It replaces JB/T 8950.2-1999, JB/T 5838-1991 and JB/T 5839-1991.
