1 Foreword

JB/T 8915-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 9 January 2017 and has been in force since 1 July 2017.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8915-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is the Chinese machinery industry standard for single-tube coolers. Product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transport and storage all fall within it. The machines it governs, called cooling machines in the text, cool high-temperature material in building materials, chemical, metallurgical and other industrial plants. The standard is recommended and carries the Chinese classification D94 with the international classification 73.120. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 700-2006, GB/T 1804-2000, GB/T 3323-2005, GB/T 8492, GB/T 9437, GB/T 9444-2007 and GB/T 11345-2013. It replaces JB/T 8915-1999.
