JB/T 8864-2018 was issued by MIIT on 30 April 2018 and has been in force since 1 December 2018.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8864-2004, JB/T 8864-1999.
2 Scope
Pneumatic actuators fitted to valves are covered by JB/T 8864-2018, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. It defines the terms used for valve pneumatic devices and then sets out the technical requirements they have to satisfy. Test methods and inspection rules follow, together with the provisions for marking, packaging and storage. Membrane pneumatic devices fall outside its scope.
