JB/T 8825.3-2011 was issued by MIIT on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8825.3-1998.
It is one of 13 parts of the JB/T 8825 series.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, the third part of the standard for tools for Whitworth threads. It sets the technical requirements for Whitworth taps and for Whitworth nut taps, together with the basic requirements for their marking and for their packaging. It applies to taps and nut taps for cutting Whitworth threads that are made to JB/T 8825.1 and JB/T 8825.4.
