JB/T 8825.2-2011 was issued by MIIT on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8825.2-1998.
It is one of 13 parts of the JB/T 8825 series.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard, the second part of the standard for tools for Whitworth threads. It sets the form and the limit deviations of the Whitworth thread produced on taps made to JB/T 8825.1 and on nut taps made to JB/T 8825.4. The tolerances it carries bear on the threaded portion of the tap named in its title. It applies to taps for cutting Whitworth threads. It replaces JB/T 8825.2-1998 and quotes JB/T 8825.1 and JB/T 8825.4. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it, and it carries Chinese classification J41 with international classification 25.100.50.
