JB/T 8716-1998 is the English-translated version of 汽车起重机和轮胎起重机安全规程.

JB/T 8716-1998 is the Chinese machinery industry safety code for truck cranes and wheel cranes. It states the safety requirements attached to the design and manufacture of these mobile cranes and to their inspection, their use and management and their eventual scrapping. Its reference list is wide and includes GB 3811-1983, GB 5972-1986, GB 6067-1985, GB 6068.1-1985, GB 7258-1997, GB 10051.1-1988, JB 3774.1-1984, JB 4031-1985 and ZB J80003-1987. The code took the place of ZB J80002-1986. It carries the Chinese classification J80.
