JB/T 5242-2013 was issued by MIIT on 25 April 2013 and has been in force since 1 September 2013.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 5242-1991.
2 Scope
This standard is the Chinese machinery industry recommended standard that lays down the test code for the slewing mechanism of mobile cranes. It states the prototype and the test conditions, the test methods and the inspection rules for that mechanism. The machines it applies to are the mobile cranes with a slewing mechanism as defined in GB/T 6974.2. The standard carries Chinese classification J80 and international classification 53.020.20, and was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
