1 Foreword

JB/T 8677-2015 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 10 October 2015 and has been in force since 1 March 2016.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8677-1997.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for explosion-proof circuit breakers. It classifies these products, fixes their basic parameters, their technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, and sets the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. The breakers, which the text names simply circuit breakers, are addressed for their design, their manufacture and their inspection, and that is the application the standard declares. Among the standards it quotes are GB 3836.1-2010, GB 3836.2-2010, GB 4208-2008 and GB/T 14048.1-2012. JB/T 8677-2015 replaces JB/T 8677-1997. It is classed under K35 in the Chinese classification of standards and under 29.260.20 in the international classification.
