1 Foreword

JB/T 8363.2-2012 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 24 May 2012 and has been in force since 1 November 2012.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8363.2-1996.

It is one of 3 parts of the JB/T 8363 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the second part of the Chinese machinery industry standard on fastening screws for indexable inserts with counterbored holes, and it holds the technical specifications. It covers the appearance and the surface roughness of the screws, the materials they are made from, their mechanical properties and the methods used to test those properties, and it lays down requirements for marking and packaging. The sizes it addresses start at M2. It quotes GB/T 196, GB/T 2516-2003, GB/T 3098.1-2010, GB/T 3098.13, GB/T 3103.2 and JB/T 8363.1. It replaces JB/T 8363.2-1996 and carries the classifications J41 and 25.100.99.
