JB/T 8343.2-2010 was issued by MIIT on 22 April 2010 and has been in force since 1 October 2010.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8343.2-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that forms Part 2 of the standard on horizontal band sawing machines and is given over to their accuracy. It states the geometric accuracy and the accuracy requirements for these machines, together with the methods by which those checks are made. What it applies to is horizontal band sawing machines working slabs. JB/T 4171-1999 is listed among the standards it quotes. It takes the place of the earlier edition JB/T 8343.2-1999.
