JB/T 7997-2012 is the English-translated version of 石榴石 化学分析方法.
JB/T 7997-2012 is the Chinese machinery industry standard setting out the chemical analysis methods for almandine garnet. It gives the methods for determining silicon dioxide, aluminium oxide, iron oxide, titanium dioxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and manganese in the material. Each of these constituents is determined by the method the standard lays down for it. The methods apply to the determination of the chemical composition of lump garnet and of garnet abrasive. The standard quotes GB/T 4676 and replaces JB/T 7997-1999. It is a recommended standard of the machinery sector, classified J43 in China and 25.100.70 internationally.
