1 Foreword

JB/T 7991-2014 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 6 May 2014 and has been in force since 1 October 2014.

It is one of 5 parts of the JB/T 7991 series.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that fixes the symbols and the designation used for electroplated superabrasive products. It gives the code and the marking for electroplated cut-off wheels, electroplated needle files and electroplated grinding tools. The rules cover metal-bonded superabrasive tools produced by electroplating, so that such a product can be identified from its designation alone. GB/T 6408 and GB/T 23536 are cited as normative references. The standard replaces JB/T 7991.1-2001, the earlier text having been the first part of a series while this one is issued as a single document.
