1 Foreword

JB/T 7986-2017 was issued by MIIT on 7 November 2017 and has been in force since 1 April 2018.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7986-2001.

2 Scope

JB/T 7986-2017 is the Chinese machinery industry standard for chromium corundum, one of the conventional abrasives. It sets the code of each grade of this abrasive, the technical requirements the grades meet, the test methods used on them, the inspection rules and the packaging. Each grade of chromium corundum carries its own code under the standard. The standard is recommended and carries the Chinese classification J43 and the international classification 25.100.70. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 2481.1, GB/T 3044, GB/T 4676, GB/T 9258.1, GB/T 9258.2, JB/T 6569, JB/T 6570 and JB/T 11433. It replaces JB/T 7986-2001.
