1 Foreword

JB/T 7948.5-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 7 November 2017 and has been in force since 1 April 2018.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 7948.5-1999.

It is one of 20 parts of the JB/T 7948 series.

2 Scope

This standard is the Chinese machinery industry standard giving the method for the determination of calcium fluoride in welding fluxes, the fifth part of the JB/T 7948 chemical analysis methods. It explains the principle of the determination and lists the reagents and instruments used, the handling of the sample and the analytical procedure to be followed. The calculation of the analytical result and the allowable difference close the method. The standard is recommended, under the Chinese classification J33 and the international classification 25.160.20. It quotes GB/T 6682, GB/T 12806, GB/T 12808, GB/T 12809 and GB/T 12810.
