JB/T 6738-2011 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 6738-1993.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard setting general technical requirements for the single-phase induction motors used in hermetic refrigeration compressors. It specifies the motor types, the basic parameters and dimensions, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to motors of 0.03 kW to 3.7 kW working with R22, R407C, R410A, R134a, R502 or R600a refrigerant, and motors for other refrigerants may also use it for reference. Among the standards quoted are GB/T 191-2008, GB/T 5171-2002, GB 12350-2009 and GB/T 22719.1-2008.
