JB/T 6649-2010 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on gas-atomized spherical bronze powder. It fixes the grades and specifications of the spherical bronze powder produced by the aerosolized method, called bronze ball powder for short, together with the technical requirements that correspond to them. The powder is applied in manufacturing porous elements, steel-backed bronze polymer composite friction materials, filled metal-polymer composite friction materials and friction materials using an organic binder, and some of it goes into formulating medium abrasive powders for finishing. It replaces JB/T 6649-1993, carries the Chinese classification H72 and ICS 77.160, and quotes GB/T 1479, GB/T 4164 and GB/T 8888 among others.
