JB/T 6263-2014 is the English-translated version of 照相镜头 照相分辨率测试标板.

The resolution test target used with camera lenses is the subject of JB/T 6263-2014, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry.

It sets the technical requirements for the target and the methods of testing it, the target being the chart on which the overall resolution of a camera lens is read by the traditional silver halide photographic film method, and it also covers marking, packaging, transport and storage.

The document therefore serves the optical laboratories and lens makers who measure resolving power rather than the users of the lenses. Its normative reference is JB/T 7473.

It replaces JB/T 6263-1992. Issued on 6 May 2014, it has applied since 1 October 2014.
