JB/T 5863-1991 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard setting the general requirements for the electronic control units of steel cord belt conveyors driven by alternating current motors. It covers control equipment for systems running at a rated frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage of 6 kV or below, with a single motor rating of 630 kW or below, in single drive and multiple drive arrangements, acting in the stator and rotor circuits through magnetic control cabinets, cubicles and boxes, and it extends to their manufacture, use and maintenance. It serves as the basis for the corresponding product standards. It quotes GB 156, GB 311, GB 762, GB 1497, GB 1984, GB 1985, GB 3047.1, GB 4208, GB 4720, JB 3084, JB 3085 and JB 3752. Issued on 24 October 1991, it has applied since 1 October 1992.
