JB/T 5536-2008 is the English-translated version of 仪表用单相电容运转异步电动机.
JB/T 5536-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for the single-phase capacitance operation asynchronous motors used in instruments, called simply the motor throughout the text.
It divides these motors into product classes and then states the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, adding the requirements it makes for packaging, labelling, transport and storage.
The motors concerned are those built into instrumentation. The standard replaces the 1991 edition, JB/T 5536-1991. In the Chinese standard classification it is filed at J22.
