Scope
JB/T 5449-2008 is the English-translated version of 测试笔.
JB/T 5449-2008 is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for test pens, also named test prods. It classifies them and sets their technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. Its first field of application is the test lead of the multimeter, and it may equally be applied to the test pens of other measuring instruments and equipment. The standard replaces JB/T 5449-1991. The Chinese classification is L24 and the international classification 29.120.30.
