JB/T 4127.3-2011 is the recommended Chinese machinery industry standard covering product acceptance within the parts on mechanical seals. It sets the acceptance items and rules, the packaging, marking and technical documents, the inspection of appearance quality, the installation dimensions and the accuracy of the main components, the hydrostatic test and the running test, the storage conditions and the assurance given in use, so that users have a technical basis for the quality inspection and acceptance of these products. Mechanical seals for centrifugal pumps and other similar rotating machinery come within its scope, with bounds set on seal chamber pressure and temperature, an outside diameter of shaft or sleeve not greater than 120 mm and a speed below 3000 r/min. It replaces JB/T 4127.3-1999.
