JB/T 4007-2018 is the English-translated version of 熔模铸造涂料试验方法.
JB/T 4007-2018 is a recommended standard of the Chinese mechanical and machinery industry and sets out test methods for the slurries used in investment casting.
The performance tests it prescribes cover silica gel sol binder and silica sol coating, water glass binder and water glass coating, and ethyl silicate hydrolyzate binder and ethyl silicate coating.

1 Foreword
JB/T 4007-2018 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 30 April 2018 and has been in force since 1 December 2018.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 4007-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended standard of the Chinese mechanical and machinery industry and sets out test methods for the slurries used in investment casting.
