1 Foreword
JB/T 3890-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 7 November 2017 and has been in force since 1 April 2018.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3890-2008, JB/T 3890-1999.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard for silicon carbide rods, one of the special products made from silicon carbide. It sets out how the product is classified, the technical requirements it must meet, the test methods used to verify them, the inspection rules applied at acceptance and the requirements for packaging. It quotes GB/T 191, GB/T 2997 and GB/T 3045. It replaces JB/T 3890-2008, and the number has carried silicon carbide rods through earlier editions in 1985 and 1999. Its classifications are CCS J43 and ICS 25.100.70.
