1 Foreword

JB/T 3078-2015 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 30 April 2015 and has been in force since 1 October 2015.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3078-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard covering silicone impregnating varnishes used for electrical insulation. It sets out how these varnishes are classified and named, the requirements they must meet, the test methods used to check them and the inspection rules, together with provisions for packaging, labelling, storage and transportation. Its scope is limited to silicone impregnating varnishes of thermal class H. The document is filed under the Chinese classification K15 and the international classification 29.035.99. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 1725-2007, GB/T 1981.1-2007 and GB/T 1981.2-2009. It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3078-1999.
