1 Foreword

JB/T 3064-2011 was issued by MIIT on 20 December 2011 and has been in force since 1 April 2012.

It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 3064-1999.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard that gathers the chemical analysis methods for powder metallurgy friction materials. It gives the procedures for determining silica, tin, molybdenum disulfide, barium sulfate, copper, iron, lead and carbon in such materials. It applies to the sintered metallic friction materials used in the manufacture of clutches and brakes. The standard quotes GB/T 223.68-1997 and GB/T 223.69-2008. It replaces JB/T 3064-1999. It carries Chinese classification H72 and international classification 77.160.
