Standard capacitors whose dielectric is a compressed gas are covered by JB/T 1811-2011, a recommended standard of the Chinese machinery industry. The document fixes its own scope, the terms and definitions, the conditions of use, the quality requirements and the testing that goes with them, and then labelling, packaging and transport. It applies to capacitors in which compressed gas forms the dielectric and which serve mainly as standard capacitors in high-voltage measuring circuits at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Three documents are applied with it: GB/T 11023, GB/T 16927.1 and GB/T 16927.2. It replaces the previous edition JB/T 1811-1992, and its Chinese classification is K42.
