JB/T 15422.1-2026 is Part 1 of the series on industrial gateways and gives their general technical requirements. An industrial gateway is a device that connects equipment and networks on the factory floor and passes data between them. It is classed as a basic standard, which means that the later parts of the series build on it.

Gateway manufacturers, system integrators, test and evaluation bodies and buyers of industrial automation equipment use it to describe and specify these devices. It is a voluntary industry standard, shown by the /T in its code. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 28 April 2026, and it takes effect on 2 November 2026. It is a new standard.
