1 Foreword

JB/T 13046-2017 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 9 January 2017 and has been in force since 1 July 2017.

2 Scope

This standard is a recommended Chinese mechanical and machinery industry standard for instruments that measure the parameters of oil pipe screw threads. It gives terms and definitions, the types and basic parameters of the instrument, the requirements, the inspection methods and the rules for marking and packaging. It applies to measuring instruments that determine the taper, the pitch, the profile height and the middle diameter of an oil pipe thread. The inspection and measurement of single parameters of special petroleum pipe threads may also follow it. Issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it carries Chinese classification J42 and international classification 17.040.30, and it quotes GB/T 1219-2008, GB/T 9253.2-1999, GB/T 17163-2008 and GB/T 22512.2-2008.
